It is not an understatement to say that there are a lot of flower companies in Portland… And when wading through the waters of the wedding industry it can feel like you are always looking at carbon copies of the same bouquet, with the same color schemes, and the same arrangements… But that is NOT Portmanteau. Working with Portmanteau felt more like sitting down with your cool creative friends and brainstorming ideas, rather than desperately trying to describe what you're looking for to someone who doesn't care about your big day. They perfectly executed our vision, built a full living altar on-site morning of, and even used new techniques with bouncy beautiful wired flowers to give us the corsages and flower crown we were dreaming of. If I had two takeaways I could express about Portmanteau it would, 1. They care deeply about their craft and the people they work with, and 2. They are incredibly talented, creative, and devoted to the service they provide. In the end, I do not have enough good things to say about Portmanteau… They were communicative, accommodating, and they really cared, and when planning a wedding, those are the best things any vendor can be. We will be dreaming of

I would give this establishment 6 starts if it were possible. Jonathan and Carmen are outstanding human beings. They hosted us for our 12 year wedding anniversary and gave us an incredible hands on workshop for flower making. The amount of education they provided, and patience, allowing us to take our time building our arrangement was incredible. This was well worth the money spent, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend anyone looking for a gift for their partners to call Jonathan and Carmen and ask for a flower arrangement class. Excellent and more than worthwhile experience.

I went to an event where Portmanteau Flower Company provided a bouquet bar for the attendees. It was such a fun experience and a great “giveaway” idea for the sponsored event. I was impressed at the creativity, the quality, and variety of blooms they brought. Carmen provided great bouquet wrapping and told me about the flowers I had selected. Their presence made the event memorable.

I asked Portmanteau Flower Company to create something for my mother-in-law. The result was like a botanical symphony, each bloom masterfully chosen and beautifully arranged into a work of peace and serenity. The hoped-for effect hit the mark, she can't stop thanking me. Thank you for helping me to convey my gratitude and appreciation for "Mom" this Mother's Day. p.s. I particularly loved the elegance of the Mountain Bluet (pictured).

Was out of the country the weeks before Mother’s Day and when I got back the day before, I couldn’t find anywhere to put in an order that would arrive on time. Portmanteau not only fulfilled the order in time for Mother’s Day, they did so with a breathtaking arrangement and at a really reasonable price. Mom loved it. I want an arrangement from them just for me! Highly recommend.
